Shown here is the same laser aim point and paper after the shot has been taken. If you look closely you can see the pattern paper has been shot by the many small holes that appear to be grouped slightly low and left. The important thing to note is we do not have to look at each shot with our eyes. We don't have to count pellet holes by hand. We don't have to draw the circles with pens. This is point where the technology really takes over.

The pattern generator now closes off the outside world and takes a digital photo of the pattern just fired. It then transmits this digital image to the pattern processor for the number crunching. When the pattern processor has captured the shot data it informs the pattern generator to prepare for the next shot to be testeed. Before the pattern generator is reopened for the next shot the pattern paper is advanced and readied.
